About California Cleft Pup Rescue

Our mission is to save puppies born with a cleft palate, cleft lip and/or any other special needs.

We also aim to educate breeders, veterinary professionals and the general public about the care of these special babies and the happy full lives they can live after they receive this care. We don't see imperfections; we see a life worth saving! 

CCPR founder, Mandi, began her life in rescue as a teenager. From saving feral cats to rescuing dogs off the street, she has seen a lot. All of which ignited a passion in her that could not be ignored. When her first cleft pup, Gypsy, was relinquished with aspiration pneumonia she fought so hard to survive. The impact she made would forever change the trajectory of our rescue story. And CCPR was born! Not long after, there was an expansion of the rescue to include Texas Cleft Pup Rescue, giving special needs pups in both states the chance they all deserve!
