At CCPR we believe every puppy that comes into our care is worthy of love and care for their entire lives. With Hydro pups, their lives are typically much shorter than average. So, each day with them is a gift to be treasured and celebrated until their time with us has come to end. Each one leaving an indelible mark on our hearts.
It takes a truly special person to foster hospice puppies, but if you feel it on your heart to help these sweet babies, please reach out to us for more information!

Auggie, the hydro xl bully has made it home! Unfortunately, he has a case of closed hydrocephalus, which will be more challenging. He will be starting medications to help him, but for now he is already making himself at home. What a handsome boy he is! Mandi and her family love him already!

Sweet Avocado was an absolute joy to behold. She was full of love and had an amazing playful spirit! She was adored by her family and fur siblings. She ended her journey on Earth shortly before she turned 1.
Precious Fifi was raised along side Avocado. She was every bit as sweet as she looked.
She was loved and adored by her family and all of the followers of the rescue. And we truly believe she knew that before she passed.
Gumbo, the velvet big rope Frenchie, was the light of Mandi's life. He was given a second chance at life by one of CCPR's amazing followers at 8 weeks old. It seemed he knew that he was given this chance and was so full of joy every day of his life. He loved riding in his stroller. And with every person he met, he helped educate and change hearts about dogs with disabilities.
"Hydro Heroes" was inspired by Hero. He was loving and affectionate and brave. His Hydrocephalus was severe, so he was not long for this world. But we continue to celebrate him and the impact he made on our hearts.
Dumpling was loved by everyone she met. She helped change minds and break stereotypes. She broke down the barriers in hearts to allow them to see the beauty in a special needs puppy. She was smart and happy and uniquely beautiful. She adored wearing clothes and hats and she will forever live in Mandi's heart as one of the most beautiful things that has ever happened to her.

Panda was shy and sweet, and he loved to give kisses! He was left at the shelter by his previous owner in his last days, where we rescued him. We are heartbroken that he passed so soon after coming into our care, but find some peace that Mandi was able to hold him and love him in those final moments, instead of being alone and scared in the shelter. He was the calmest, sweetest boy and we are so happy to have known and loved him.
Honey Bear was just as sweet and happy as she looked! She loved to play with her fur siblings!
She loved her Mama Mandi and was dearly loved in return. She had the very best in her short life, going on adventures and enjoying the gifts and outfits sent by our amazing supporters. We will always love and miss this sweet girl!
Hope had the most vibrant personality, which can be rare in babies with hydrocephalus! Hope was outgoing and incredibly affectionate. If she had it her way she would have given kisses all day, every day! She is so missed!
Tiki was a strong and resilient pup!
He loved playing with his people and wearing his cute pajamas. Tiki was super loving and such a special boy! He is missed every day by anyone who had the joy to know and love him.
Englebert Hopperdink, aka Dink, was a ball full of joy! He had us all wrapped around his paw! And how could he not?! He was a tiny, mighty dude with a huge heart! He was so loved and is already so missed!
All of CCPR's Hydro Heroes live with Mandi and her family from intake until they cross over to the other side, perfect and whole once again. They are given specialized care and all of the love and affection they could ask for their entire lives. This can be a heartbreaking task for her and her family, but they know what an honor and a blessing it is to have these amazing little souls share their lives with them, even for a short time.
